For better living

With McStay Homes, you have the freedom and flexibility to be as involved as you want to be, knowing your project is in good hands.

When it comes to building your home, the planning phase is just as important as the construction itself. Our professional builders troubleshoot, problem-solve and manage every aspect, so you don’t have to. We put particular focus on concepts, specifications and drawings, helping us avoid problems long before they have a chance to surface.

Our approach ensures that our timescales and quotations are as accurate as possible so you know where you stand before we break ground.

We consistently complete our builds on time,
with a transparent schedule to keep you up-to-date.

Step 1.

At your initial consultation, we encourage you to bring details of your site and a ‘wish list’ of what you’d like the exterior of your home to look like.

Step 2.

We present you with a preliminary concept plan. If you require any modifications, we’ll work with you until you’re completely satisfied.

Step 3.

We prepare full specifications for your home based on the approved plan, as well as a free no-obligation quotation that includes any design variations.

Step 4.

Now it’s time to sign the contract, apply for the guarantee and give written authority for us to apply for building consent.

Step 5.

We create drawings and submit them to the council. When the building permit is due to be issued by the council, we will ask for your contract deposit.

Step 6.

Assuming the deposit has been paid, building will commence one week after building consent has been issued.

Step 7.

We carefully project manage every stage of construction as well as work done by our trusted sub-contractors.

Step 8.

We hand over the keys to your finished property, and you begin turning your house into a home.

Throughout the building process, our staff and contractors will be more than happy to answer any queries you may have.
